THE GREENS ASSOCIATION · BRANFORD, CONNECTICUT
The Greens,
through the years.
A neighborhood's history lives in its records—and in the memories of the people who call it home.
This is the beginning of a community history, researched and collected by an independent owners and renters group. It is a starting point, with more to discover.
WHAT THE RECORDS SHOW
More than one
building date.
Town records document homes at The Greens dating to both the 1970s and the 1980s.
Those dates support a picture of a neighborhood built over time. They do not, by themselves, establish the association's founding date or the dates of every development phase.
1973
An early building record
The Branford assessor's record for 335 Walden Green lists a construction year of 1973.
1985
A later building record
The town assessor's record for 105 Peddlars Drive lists a construction year of 1985.

Sources & approach
The Town of Branford's Assessor's Office directs readers to the Vision Government Solutions database used for the two construction dates above. These are individual property records, not a complete development history.
A local real-estate article dated June 15, 2009 also describes construction beginning in the early 1970s with additional buildings in the 1980s. We use that as supporting context rather than as an original development record.
Research checked October 30, 2026. This page is an independent community history, not an official association history or a source of current association rules. The homepage artwork is illustrative; it does not depict actual residents or buildings.
